About the Role
ThePEDI.org is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Writer to help communicate our mission and amplify our work in the field of product design and innovation. This role involves reporting on The PEDI’s activities and crafting compelling content for fundraising reports, proposals, executive correspondence, and other key materials. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer with a proven ability to meet deadlines and a passion for design, innovation, and impactful storytelling.
As a Staff Writer, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attend PEDI-hosted events, and translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive content that resonates with a wide variety of audiences. This role also offers opportunities for growth and professional development within our tight-knit team of creatives and innovators. Top performers may also contribute to Qalori, our widely distributed quarterly magazine that reaches over 100,000 design professionals and enthusiasts.
Responsibilities
Develop and write high-quality fundraising reports and proposals.
Attend The PEDI’s events and stay current on all publications and initiatives.
Collaborate with policy and program teams to accurately represent priorities and objectives.
Draft polished and impactful correspondence for executive leadership.
Edit, format, and fact-check reports, proposals, and articles.
Qualifications
1–3 years of professional experience in writing, journalism, communications, public policy, or related fields.
Passion for The PEDI’s mission of advancing excellence in product design.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with impeccable attention to detail.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
