About the Role
ThePEDI.org is seeking a talented and highly organized Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute impactful events that align with our mission of advancing excellence in product design and innovation. As Event Manager, you will oversee a range of events, from intimate workshops to large-scale conferences, ensuring a seamless experience that engages and inspires our community.
In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to bring events to life, manage budgets, and measure success. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate needs will play a vital role in elevating The PEDI’s brand and fostering meaningful connections within the design community.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute The PEDI’s events, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and networking gatherings.
Develop event strategies and objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and event setup.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging event content and programming.
Manage event promotion, including invitations, marketing materials, and social media campaigns.
Oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality experiences.
Handle event registration, attendee communications, and post-event surveys.
Measure event success through metrics and feedback, using insights to improve future events.
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, speakers, and attendees.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
Proven ability to manage events of varying scale and complexity.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing event budgets and timelines.
Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event platforms is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
